Happy New Year! It’s the third Friday of the year, but still January….
- I’ve set a number of goals for 2018, one of which is to keep up with my “memory keeping.” For the blog, that means aiming to post every Tuesday and do a round-up every Friday, even if it’s short and sweet like this one! I think this is doable — mainly because I have completed projects from May that I haven’t written about, so there should be plenty to catch up on while we continue doing more projects 🙂
- For our family, I’m endeavoring to do one or two, two-page scrapbook spreads per month recapping Kate’s growth/development and special things we did as a family. I picked up the Project Life “All Seasons” core kit on clearance at Michaels last week for half price and I’m very excited! Special holidays or vacations would be more involved, but I’m hoping that a simple schedule will help me from falling into the trap of the last two years which involve taking tons of photos and saving special items in a box but not actually putting anything on paper. This has been my life since I finished her first year scrapbook in February 2016. <Insert embarrassed face emoji here.>
- Kate’s third birthday planning is in full swing and I’m excited to again capitalize on our empty dining room to make it the heart of the party! Last year we decorated the dining room a little and put the cake/favor table there, but we’re planning something more intense this time!
4. We got a half decent dump of snow on Tuesday afternoon and through the night and ended up with a two-hour delay on Wednesday. Chris braved the elements and shoveled us out while Kate and I painted inside testing out different colors for her birthday party decorations.
